About Heidi
Registered Dietitian & Community Nutrition Educator
Food has always felt personal to me — not just fuel, but connection. It’s one of the most powerful — and delicious — ways we care for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
My work centers on healthy aging and the role nutrition plays in supporting strength, cognitive health, and long-term well-being. Healthy aging isn’t just about adding years to life — it’s about preserving strength, memory, connection, and independence.
With training in public health and credentialing as a Registered Dietitian, I bring both systems-level perspective and individualized nutrition expertise to the communities and families I serve. Over the years, I’ve partnered with Tribal programs, aging services organizations, caregivers, and families across Hawaiʻi and beyond — translating nutrition science into practical tools that feel clear, realistic, and sustainable.
How I work
Healthy aging requires more than information — it requires guidance that feels usable, respectful, and relevant to daily life.
Whether leading a staff training, facilitating a small group, or meeting one-on-one, my goal is to create learning spaces where people feel confident making choices that support strength, brain health, and long-term well-being. Programs emphasize sustainable habits, cultural context, and practical application.
Approach & Philosophy
One of my favorite moments as an educator is hearing someone say, “That actually feels doable.”
That shift — from information to confidence — is where meaningful change begins.
Nutrition education should feel empowering, never overwhelming. By blending public health insight with real-life application, I strive to make healthy aging feel accessible and achievable at every stage of life.
